A Walk In The Forest
Hello again. This blog is going to be sort of short today. I read up to page 14. When we last talked King Mendenbar had just left his castle to go for a walk. As the king of The Enchanted Forest, King Mendenbar can feel the magic of the forest and can use it, too. As he is walking he thinks about using the magic to get to the place he has decided to go to, the green glass pool, but decides that he wants to walk instead. He tries to get to the pool, but he realizes that the forest is shifting the pools location so that it is always just behind him. Finally, he dicides to use the magic of the forest and makes himself appear at the edge of the pool. There he finds a princess who tells him that she has been kicked out of her house by her wicked stepmother and that she is all alone. The princess tells him that she is tired form crossing the wastelands outside of the forest. King Mendenbar tells her that there are no wastelands, and she tells him to check for himself. Worried that she is tricking him into helping her, which princesses always do, King Mendenbar takes this opportunity to leave as quickly as he can. The princess looks for him, but does not see him hiding behind a tree. Do you wonder who this princess is? I do, too! Check back tomorrow to find out what happens next, and please leave some comments for me!
